Life

Well, there is quite a lot to say. I will start with graduation. That's right, I'm done!! It took long enough but I am done with school and ready for the next step...finding a job! Anyone got one for me? :) It was so great to have my family and close friends there to share in it with me. I can't say how great it was to see everyone.

One of the more exciting events of the summer, I would say, was Shannon and George's wedding...FINALLY!!!! And though they were poked and prodded to get married for quite some time, the timing of their wedding was just right. It was beautiful, the tears were flowing, the food was great, and the dancing was way too fun! It has been a long journey, but in the end, it was all so very worth it.

Then there was our little vacation to Kansas to see Eric's family. I have to say. though it was hot and muggy, it was so great to meet the people who Eric cares so much about. I can see now just why he cares so much about them. Such great people!!!

Next came the super fun, very eventful wedding of Megan and Steve. Though it was incredibly hot, I couldn't have had more fun. The flowers were beautiful, the bride and groom were practically glowing, and we danced our booties off until we all dropped. I am so happy for them and Eric and I had an amazing time celebrating with them.

So far, this has been a great, exciting summer and it feels like it's just begun! I have found a greater appreciation for my family and friends and couldn't thank them all enough. Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before I update this again. :)

Life

So, this is a blog on a bit happier note. Things are going well, busy but fun. I am working like crazy to student teach, work, coach, and go to school at the same time, and it is working out surprisingly well. I am staying on top of things, for once, and getting close to the end (woo hoo). I am so excited to be involved in my friends' weddings and I am starting to sense a wedding mania attacking. It is fun though and gives me something other to do than just homework.

Eric is doing good as well. He is super busy at work and has had a few late nights recently. I am proud of my guy for sticking through it though 'cause things have been rough. He has been following the Jayhawks religiously, and we have both been pleased, for the most part, with their success, especially as a fairly young team. GO JAYHAWKS!! :)

Dobby is super fantastic. He is finally losing some weight (he was getting chubby) which we attribute to not having to wrestle Belle for his food. He would eat when he was not hungry whenever she would try to eat from his dish and this led to him being a chubby little chi chi. He is a happy, healthy little pup and has become the center of attention once again; the little ham.

We are getting along without Belle, but with the possibility of a new puppy come June. This is exciting for us because we feel this puppy would probably super spoiled. We are hoping everything works out with that but we are crossing our fingers.

Both Eric and I are super excited for St. Patty's Day in a couple weeks! We are going to visit our good friends up in P-Town (Shoo, Geo, and Lisa Loo). It has been wayyyyy too long since seeing any of them so we can't wait. AND how could it get any better than on St. Patty's Day? Super cool.

Anyhoo, that is about all for now, I was just told I needed to write about the happy things in mine and Eric's life, of which there are many. There is always a silver lining to every cloud and I feel Eric and I are starting to see a bit of that lining.

The Update

So, it has been a long last couple of weeks. I know I said I would update on what was going on with Belle, but it is really hard to write about it, so this is my first attempt.

Belle was having small seizures, though we did not know what they were at the time. We made an appointment to get her looked at with her Vet on a Tuesday, but that Monday she took a turn for the worse. Eric woke up and after some time Belle was having problems walking and functioning in general. After a while she went into a massive seizure, though I will spare you the details as to what exactly happened. When she was done, Eric rushed her to the Vet and they took her from him. When Eric picked me up from school he told me all about it. We went to visit her that night and she was not looking good. We were told a few different things that could be happening, but we were not sure, neither were they.

The next evening we went to visit her again and she seemed to be doing much better. She had stopped twitching and she seemed somewhat responsive to her name. The doctor seemed optimistic as well and we had plans to take her home the next morning. When we left Belle was seemingly asleep and she was going to get fed. On our way home we got a call from the doctor saying we should probably come back because she had taken a turn for the worse. She went into what the doctor presumed was a coma and never woke up. They tried CPR when she had stopped breathing but it was no use. Our baby was gone.

We buried Belle the next day at Eric's parents house amongst other loved animals and though it has been tough, we are getting through it.

And there has been some new news...we might get a chance to get Belle's sister or brother from her mama's next litter. This is soon for us, but we could not pass on this chance, to have something so close to Belle.

I am so sorry it took so long to update on this sad event, but it is really tough to recount exactly what happened over those two days. I hope to put up some pictures of Belle because she was too cute not to have pictures up, and hopefully I will have some more optimistic and joyful blogs up soon.

Life

Alright, so I am neglecting this blog horribly. Seriously, one blog so far in how many months??? So I have decided to pick it up and try to keep up with it.
I have had this revelation because of a development in my life. No, I am not engaged...tell me about it. But we have had some issues concerning Belle, our newest installment to our little family. Eric decided we should find Dobby a friend and also add a little star to our life together so he bought be a teacup chihuahua for my birthday. This has been one of the greatest gifts I could ever ask for because she is just the light of my life, along with her big brother Dob man.
But back to Belle, she has started having some weird occurances happen with her. She is having episodes where she...well I don't even know how to describe it. Eric and I have looked up what she might be going through and we are thinking...you ready for this one...hypoglycemic seizures, or more specifically, that she might have transient juvenille hypoglycemia. We are both really hoping we can get this figured out because it is really scary to think of our little girl having seizures. We are seeing a vet on Monday, she has to get a shot anyway, and hopefully they will be able to give us some sort of answer to our questions.
So, with this stressful information in our hands we are praying she is alright but crossing our fingers. I am sorry the first blog back is so...depressing but I promise to keep up with it more in the future. For many of my friends, I don't get to talk to them often, so hopefully I can tell you all about our lives this way!!!

Talk to you soon!!!!

Oh, and I promise lots of pictures for future posts!
